Christmas knitting

December 1, 2009

I have been very lazy about blogging lately. I’ve been knitting my Christmas gifts which leaves me little time to work on my own projects. So far I’ve made One Vine and Leaf beret for each of the little girls that I knit for, I’m half way through one Trellis lace neckwarmer for one of them, I need to make one more neckwarmer and the another Star Wars hat for the little boy. I was hoping to make  a Red Socks Hat for Do (boyfriend) as well but he may have to get that in January.

Tiny’s Blanket

September 29, 2009

Tiny’s Blanket, originally uploaded by mcelwainamy.

The blanket is not actually for Tiny but for the family that had to give him up due to the baby’s allergies. I made this even though it won’t make up for the loss of a cat that they’ve had for 12 years.

I used by Stephanie Ament.

Oh, and Tiny:

I finished a project!

August 29, 2009

I’ve been knitting so many squares for different reasons and my knitting in public is a stole/slash scarf and I’ve been knitting a tank top in fingering weight yarn on size 3 needles and I was getting tired of only seeing squares on my project page on Ravelry so I made a hat!

I love, love, love this pattern!

It’s the cover pattern from the latest Vogue Knitting. Thank you Angela Hahn!

Buttons, finally!

August 22, 2009

I am so bad about sewing buttons onto my finished sweaters. I finished this one on July 18th! and have finally sewed the damn things on today. I’m not sure how much I like the top now after having it sit on the arm of the couch for a month. And yes it is the same top as the one that I call Cassie made me do it, just in a slightly heavier yarn. (Rowan Silk Cotton).
