I have a new free pattern available, very easy to knit. The pattern is all charted with written instructions a s well.
Finally finished! I would have liked it a bit longer but I was really tired of looking at it. My lovely boyfriend helped me block it and then helped me pick out my next lace project, Mary R. White’s delightful Covington Shawl. He has great taste!
I did a number of modifications to this. The most obvious; full length, tapered sleeves and added about 6” in length and made the shaping more gradual. No ribbing at the bottom edge, I did 5 rows of garter stitch instead.
(I also cast on for the 40 3/4 size and decreased to the 38” size.)
The major mod was to the neck, I decreased 8 stitches each side and changed the back neck as well, I knit up from the back neck stitches attaching it to the front extensions as I knit.
I used Frog Tree Sport, loved the yarn! I love my sweater!
